This qualification reflects the role of senior Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health workers working in primary health care positions to provide advanced primary health care skills or management of a health clinic or service, and who have extensive experience in primary health care work and relevant qualifications. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
The Advanced Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care qualification covers workers who integrate knowledge of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care into broader aspects of management and community development, contributing to policy-making and decision-making across the spectrum of service delivery.
Entry Requirement
Candidates who will benefit the most from undertaking this Advanced Diploma will have either the: * the Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice * the Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care *a relevant tertiary qualification and * at least two years full time work experience in the delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients and communities.
