These workers possess clinical skills and theoretical knowledge and provide clinical assessment and pre-hospital and out-of-hospital interventions to patients in an emergency, including providing advanced skills in life support. This qualification applies to a variety of roles within the health care and patient transport system.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 160 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of Units of Competency.
